All Acumem Virtual Performance Expert customers will get a free upgrade to Acumem SlowSpotter Pro Singapore, May 19th 2008: Acumem, a provider of intelligent software for single- and multi-core environments today announces that its product Acumem Virtual Performance Expert (VPE) will change name to Acumem SlowSpotter and that all current VPE customers will be upgraded for free to Acumem SlowSpotter Pro. Virtual Performance Expert (VPE) was launched in November 2007 and active customers are found in several verticals such as Financial Services and Health Care. The new name, Acumem SlowSpotter is derived from the SlowSpots identified by the application, i.e., parts of the code that can be improved to increase performance. All current VPE customers will be offered a free upgrade from VPE to Acumem SlowSpotter Pro. Acumem SlowSpotter is based on a unique technology and has several advantages over traditional performance tools:
Acumem’s technology is hardware and language independent and works for C, C++, Fortran, Ada, and Assembler for example. It also has support for Linux and Solaris.
